Samantha and Anirudh for Udhay......!

Last month had reported that Director I.Ahmed of 'Vamanan' and 'Endrendrum Punnagai' fame will be directing Udhayanidhi in his next film that will be produced under the latter's home banner Red Giant Movies.
Earlier it was reported that Lakshmi Menon will be pairing up with Udhay in the film. But now the makers seem to have opted for Samantha.
Talks are on with the 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham' actress who is likely to give a positive response for the offer. Udhayanidhi is currently producing and acting in a debutante director Jagan's 'Nanbenda' in which he is paired up with Nayanthara for the second time.
After finishing 'Nanbenda' he is expected to begin the project to be helmed by Ahmed. This yet to be titled flick will have music score by Anirudh.
The young composer will be replacing Harris Jayaraj who has scored music for the Udhayanidhi starrers 'OK OK', 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' and the currently progressing 'Nanbenda'.
